In St. Paul’s letter to the Colossians, he says, “sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.” (3:16). This is the precise duty carried out by the nine choirs of St. Theresa’s as they raise their hearts and voices to God adding beauty to the sacred liturgy by leading and enlivening the congregation’s song.
An admirable and noteworthy feature about the Choirs at St. Theresa’s is their remarkable unity as they overcome language barriers and perform as a combined choir to praise and glorify God. Trainings and rehearsals are conducted on a weekly basis on different days of the week by each respective choir, as choir leaders select appropriate hymns and help in organizing the liturgy.
