Understanding that the family unit forms the Domestic Church, the committee was formed to work together, to safeguard the sacrament of marriage and family unity. Exploring opportunities that encourage belonging, growth, and stronger relationships, along with the understanding of the power of love generated in the family leads families to experience the love of God.

The committee operating under 3 sub committees (Sinhala/Tamil/English), coordinates Family Life education, seminars, celebration of wedding anniversaries, as well as spiritual activities such as family rosary chains, prayer services during times of grievances and lenten programmes. Family day outings are organized to encourage a spirit of togetherness and bonding within the parish community.
